2009/10 i-FM Audit of the UK FM Market

Our current online survey - the 2009/10 i-FM Audit of the UK FM Market – has closed. Results were published early in the autumn.
This year's survey, aimed primarily at FM Directors and Managers, looked at their roles and priorities, with particular reference to how they judge, source and buy services in the current difficult economic climate.

This year we also followed up the pioneering work in the previous Audit which looked at marketing and brand awareness in the sector. FMs are confronted with a big, competitive and - at times - confusing marketplace: are particular suppliers and their brands emerging as leaders? How closely do the strategies of suppliers match the perceptions of buyers?

Over the years, i-FM's market surveys have generated considerable interest in our sector. For any facilities manager, the results provide an invaluable point of reference for benchmarking an organisation’s activity, whilst also presenting a clear and up-to-date analysis of the industry's attitudes to suppliers and services.

Suppliers gain an insight into how their clients award and manage contracts and what they think of the services they currently receive. Suppliers can also gain practical benefits from the survey report by using the findings to realign their offerings, as well as their sales and marketing strategies, to suit the marketplace.

You can find the results of our previous Audit surveys, as well as reports on other FM issues, on our Research pages.
