
Steve started as a graduate trainee with the old CEGB before it was privatised in the late 1980s and became PowerGen. He undertook a variety of roles in finance, operations, HR and then finally worked in facilities management for 5 years before leaving and founding Integrated fm in 1990.
The business has grown through acquisition and organic growth to become one of the leading players in the FM IT sector.
We adopted the Business Excellence model in 2000 and won the `most improved business` award in 2002. Integrated fm is being assessed again this year and has already been awarded the `Investors in Excellence` standard as well as being a finalist for the best business in the Midlands award.
Integrated fm offers a wide range of business solutions to the FM market including helpdesk, room booking, asset management, health and safety management, space and move management etc. Over 25% of the Times top 100 companies use Integrated fm technologies.
My word of advice is `clarity`. At Integrated fm we use three values - clarity, relationship and improvement to guide every team member in their business dealings. I have found over the years that dealing with team members, clients and other stakeholders lack of clarity is the root cause of most issues. We have embedded clarity into our culture so that in everything we do we seek clarity – from formal team appraisals, specifications, proposals etc.
Steve plays guitar and sings in a covers band called the `bigkids`, available for weddings etc….
