Alison Hartigan, Director - Mace Macro

A founder and board member of Mace Macro, Alison has developed the operational contracts as well as strong relationships, through robust service delivery, with clients and the supply chain. The ethos of customer service and continuous improvement permeates throughout her team.

Alison’s main involvement with key Macro clients is relationship management, mobilisation and transition. She is also responsible for Macro corporate services and fm24 which is a wholly owned subsidiary helpdesk business.

Spanning 20 years, Alison’s career began with the Digital Equipment Corporation. Immediately prior to joining Macro she spent nearly ten years at British Airways where she was Head of Facilities Management and responsible for a diverse portfolio of 1m square metres. She studied for her MSc in facilities management while at British Airways.

Alison’s specialist skills are in developing facilities strategies, adding value through challenging conventional methodologies for service delivery and in optimising supply chain delivery.

Alison was voted one of the top twenty most influential women in the FM market in 2008.

A WORD OF ADVICE:

Be open and honest with people. Respect their views and don’t try to be too clever.

A LITTLE KNOWN FACT:

Alison went to art school and trained to be a window dresser/designer. “A far cry from FM!” she says.
